Work in a supportive and safe environment to that challenges your dog with more real life scenarios and puts their training to the test.
Puppy Foundations
For puppies up to 6 months old. Learn to teach your puppy essential life skills and lay the groundwork for a well-adjusted dog. This course is all about setting puppies (and their people!) up for long-term success through structure, boundaries, practical training.

Throughout the course, we’ll cover:
Loose Leash Walking: Learn how to achieve relaxed, enjoyable walks by teaching your dog to walk politely without pulling, enhancing focus and engagement with you.
Place Training: Help your dog regulate their emotions through place training. They will practice impulse control and calmness,, teaching them how to settle and relax, even in stimulating environments.
Recall Around Distractions: Strengthen your dog’s ability to come when called, even in the face of real-world distractions, fostering reliability and trust in any situation.
Building Engagement & Neutrality: Discover how to increase your dog's focus and connection with you while fostering neutrality in different environments, allowing them to remain composed and confident.
Life Skills: Teach practical everyday obedience skills as well as manners at thresholds, dropping a toy, and how to discourage unwanted behaviors like jumping.
A slip lead is included in this course.
Canyons Canine Foundations:
Two hour workshops and four week classes designed to establish essential skills that will enhance your everyday life together. Perfect for owners looking to develop a deeper relationship with their dog and set up for success to have more fun more together.

Foundation Skills:
Basic handling
How to develop impulse control
Conditioning calm behavior through place training and the kennel
Intro to the loose leash walk, recall, and the critical role of exposure in your puppy’s early socialization
Appropriate games
Whether you're a first-time puppy parent or simply want to start things off with clear communication and a strong bond, this class will help you and your pup build a solid foundation for the adventures ahead.
Canyons Canine Social Club:
This ongoing group class is for current training clients and graduates. The purpose of this group outing is to put your foundation training to work in a supportive, community-based environment.
Andrea will guide you through different environments and locations while working on whatever skills you need support with while emphasizing neutrality and connection. We will work on leash work, neutrality and engagement, obedience, and pack walking.
Meeting location specifics will be emailed ahead of time and in the event of rain or now, we will offer an alternate indoor location or reschedule.
